Why I do what I do
I absolutely love weddings! They are one of the most fun things that I get to do as a pastor. The joy, the celebration, the beauty and the emotion of the entire experience is wonderful. It is my privilege to lead a couple through one of the most important decisions of their lives.
There is another reason that I love weddings; and that is because I love marriage - I love being married! After 34 years I can honestly say that I would do it over again - a hundred times! Marriage is great and I believe a wedding ceremony should be filled with greatness as well.
Your wedding day should be filled with joy and celebration and that is what I bring to the ceremony. I look at it as "your day", and I will do everything I can to tailor the ceremony to your specific desires and vision.
WHO I AM
Pastor Terry offers very personal and engaging services. Of course, he is a
wedding officiant, but he also offers a marriage preparation course. He sees it as part of his responsibility to truly prepare couples embarking on this journey called marriage.
He has taken many couples through marriage preparation, which helps to prepare and guide them through the reality they will be facing after the "I do." In these sessions, he covers every area of life, helping the couple to attain the essential skills and tools that newlyweds will need to continue to improve and thrive in their relationship.
Pastor Terry has been married for 34 years to the love of his life, Lora. They have 8 children and 14 grandchildren - and yes they are all theirs. He often refers to his wife as his girlfriend and dates her every week. The "Miller Tribe" enjoys the outdoors and are avid beachgoers, as most of them are surfers. Pastor Terry is a workout "nut" and lectures on health and fitness. He is currently writing a book and beginning a ministry entitled
Total Life Pursuit, where he inspires people to live to the fullest in every area of life.
Pastor Terry has been an officiant for years, and performed dozens of marriage
ceremonies. He has performed every type of wedding from themed to very traditional.
He tells every couple that this day is theirs and not his. He wants them to have the wedding of their dreams. Terry is engaging, encouraging and very personable.
